This is the system diagram for the X4 High Altitude UAV. The UAV is currently X-Labs most ambitious project. The Goal is to send a small Unmanned Arial Vehicle to the edge of space and have it fly home to us bringing a variety of sensor data and high definition video from Space!

Everyone, The 2011 Engineering EXPO was a huge success for X-Labs! We performed approximately 25 shows over Friday and Saturday for a couple thousand people. X-Labs even won the best student show award! Great job guys! For anyone interested in joining X-Labs, it is completely free and there are no requirements. We met several people who seemed interested in joining over the course of EXPO, so we hope to see some new faces around X-labs in the next week or two. X-Labs meets every week on Friday at 4:30p.m. on the main USF campus. We meet more specifically in Engineering Building 3 (ENC) on the third floor in room #3408. To join, all you need to do is come to a meeting! If you have any other questions you can email one of the following members: 1. Coyt Barringer at

The meeting coming up this Friday will include a more in depth explanation of X-Labs for any new members. We will also be discussing the good and bad of EXPO as well as our next projects and things that need to get done now that EXPO is over. Meetings normally last an hour or two and it is fine if you need to come late or leave early.

Hello all,
As you might now, Engineering Expo is this weekend! It looks like there will be a large turnout this year. Expo is a great opportunity to get involved with the club and to potentially get involved in other clubs as well. So come check it out. X-Labs will be doing a show in the engineering auditorium, ENA. Expo runs from 9-4 on Friday and Saturday, so there is plenty of time to come see the exhibits.
